Three Hundred-Thirteen~

Smoke Free Days AND nearly Two weeks with out a Blog Post ... Sorry about that.

I work for Gannett and was furloughed again this year .... Like that's not enough to make someone start smoking again! (In addition, I have a boss who thinks the term "Fur-cation" is cute ... makes it sound as if we're not all taking a pay cut! NOT). So I've been totally away from my computer for 10 days!

What Did I Do On My Summer Fur-cation? You Ask:

I Went to FLA to visit my BFF Barb ... Lots of Fun! (if the beach is your sort of thing) ... Only Problem is BFF Barb is still smoking like me on High Octane Stress last year!

Last night I got a text that Barbi is in the hospital with a lung infection ... It breaks my heart to see her in such pain and hear her gasping for breath to talk. Maybe this will be her tipping point ... the 'Rock-Bottom' talked about in an addicts world. Truly, that's what we are: addicts. After stopping and starting so many times I finally had to come to terms with the fact that cigarettes -- like Lays Potato Chips -- I can't have just one!

Furlough is over. (For this quarter at least. We'll see what happens in the fall). And now I am only a couple of Days away from my 45 week anniversary of 'Kicking the Habit' for the LAST time!

Seven Weeks away from one whole year for the first time since I was a stupid teenager!
